Maternal Mental Health & Women’s Reproductive Mental Health

You are not alone. The journey to parenthood is a major life transition. Our experiences are uniquely our own and at times, our expectations of motherhood differ than the reality of our experiences. We support mothers from preconception to postpartum and years into motherhood in managing the unique challenges that are often experienced during this season of life.

While the experience of motherhood varies across women and cultures, there are many challenges women face that are remarkably similar. For many, there are waves of powerful emotions, a strong identity shift, loneliness, and overwhelming anxiety. If these things are getting in the way of you caring for your baby, yourself, work or relationships, a higher level of support may benefit you.

Trauma Therapy

Trauma can have a lasting negative impact on the way you see the world and relate to other people. It can take an immense amount of energy to continue functioning while you are experiencing difficult emotions, flashbacks, sleep disruption, and difficulty managing day-to-day tasks. Memories can become “frozen in time,” and remembering a trauma may feel as difficult as going through it the first time. We offer EMDR and Cognitive Processing Therapy to help heal from the effects of trauma.
